AI Automation

Files land in Dropbox and sit there until someone manually processes them

We build AI automation for Dropbox that classifies documents, extracts key data, routes for approval, and updates your systems — the moment a file lands.

The challenges you're facing

Documents sitting in Dropbox folders for days waiting for someone to open, classify, and process them

Manual data extraction from PDFs, contracts, and invoices taking hours that should take seconds

No integration between Dropbox and downstream systems — everything gets re-entered by hand

Dropbox as an Intelligent Automated Document Hub

We build AI workflows triggered by files arriving in Dropbox. The moment a document lands, AI classifies its type, extracts relevant data (dates, amounts, names, clauses), routes it for approval if required, and pushes extracted data to your CRM, ERP, or accounting system. Manual document processing becomes an exception, not the rule.

What you get

1

Document Flow Analysis

Map all document types entering Dropbox and trace their manual processing journey end-to-end.

2

AI Classification & Extraction Build

Train document classifiers and extraction models on your specific document types and data fields.

3

Workflow Automation Build

Build triggered workflows using Dropbox API, n8n/Make, and downstream system integrations.

4

Exception Handling & Monitoring

Configure low-confidence routing to human review, plus dashboards tracking automation success rates.

Representative Implementation

Composite example based on common implementation patterns and engineering experience — not a specific named customer.

Real Estate Agency — Property Management

Before

Property managers receiving 200 tenancy agreements per month into Dropbox. Each required 45 minutes of manual data entry into their property management system.

After

AI workflow extracts all key tenancy data (names, dates, rent amounts, clauses) and pushes to the property system automatically on file arrival.

150 hours/month eliminated, data entry errors down to zero, tenants onboarded same day vs 3-day previous average

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from enterprise and mid-market teams across India and internationally.

Does this work with Dropbox Business or only personal Dropbox?
We use the Dropbox Business API, which requires a Dropbox Business or Dropbox Professional plan. The automation triggers on folder events — new files, modifications, or moves — which are available in all Business tiers.
Can it handle PDFs with handwritten content or poor scan quality?
Modern document AI handles machine-printed text very accurately (99%+). Handwritten content has lower accuracy (85–92% depending on handwriting quality). We configure confidence thresholds so low-confidence extractions route to human review rather than silently erroring.
What happens if a document is classified incorrectly?
All classifications below a confidence threshold are flagged for human review. When a human corrects a classification, that correction feeds back to improve the model. Incorrect auto-processing never happens without human validation in our design.
Can this integrate with tools other than Dropbox — like SharePoint or Google Drive?
Yes. The same document AI pipeline works with SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, and local file servers. Dropbox is the trigger source, but the downstream system integrations are platform-agnostic.
